Flavorful chocolate chip cookies
I know what most are thinking…” Why white chocolate chip?” We’re all used to the ordinary chocolate chip cookies. Well, the answer is because we can! And We don’t always have to follow the rules. We just bend them a little bit. I didn’t have the normal, dark chocolate, I only had white and I just had to work with that so always remember It’s you who cooks the food, not the opposite. Think about it, how many times have you postponed cooking something because you don’t have one or two ingredients? You can always substitute ☺. Anyways back to today’s agenda… The cookies we are baking are easy and take about 10 to 15 minutes to bake.
2 cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup butter, melted
½ cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
An egg yolk
1 cup chocolate chips or diced compound chocolate
Preheat the oven to (165 degrees C) and Grease cookie sheets
Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Whip in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/3 cup (that’s like a really heaped tablespoon) at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.
Bake for 13 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
I coated mine with melted chocolate but that’s totally optional. Enjoy ☺️
