CINNAMON ROLLS RECIPE

I always used to think that making cinnamon rolls were so hard until recently. I was bored with baking cakes and wanted to try something different. So I remembered that a couple of people had asked me to try out a couple of ideas and cinnamon rolls recipe made the bucket list.
Not only does it take about 15 to 20 minutes preparation, but its also very easy.


Cinnamon rolls recipe
INGREDIENTS:
Dough:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons white sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter, softened
¾ cup milk
An egg
Filling:
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

DIRECTIONS :

Step 1
Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Brush a 9-inch square baking dish with 2 tablespoons melted butter.

Step 2
Whisk flour,white sugar, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl. Work 3 tablespoons softened butter into flour mixture using your hands. Beat milk and egg together in another bowl; pour into flour-butter mixture and stir with a rubber spatula until a soft dough forms.



Step 3
Turn dough out onto a floured work surface and roll dough into a 1/4-inch thick rectangle. Brush surface of dough with 2 tablespoons melted butter.



Step 4
Whisk 1/2 cup white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon together in a small bowl. Sprinkle 1/2 of the cinnamon-sugar mixture in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cinnamon sugar over butter-brushed dough. Roll dough around filling to form a log; cut the log into rolls and place them in the prepared baking dish.



Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven until rolls are set, 20 to 30 minutes.

FOR THE VANILLA GLAZE :
1 ½ cups confectioners’ sugar
2 ½ teaspoons milk
⅛ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon butter


Mix all the ingredients together to form a paste then drizzle it over the cinnamon rolls.
Serve with a hot beverage. Enjoy ♥
