
CRISPY OMENA RECIPE
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT OMENA IS IN ENGLISH. WHAT DO YOU THINK. LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW.

Nevertheless that cant stop us from cooking this protein-rich meal. Especially for my people from the lakeside. This is amongst my favorite meals to cook cause of the burst of flavor.I’m too excited.
Let’s get started. Shall we…
Ingredients:
Omena
1 large red onion
2 ripe tomatoes
Tomato paste ( optional)
Dhania (Coriander)
Cooking oil
hot pepper (optional)
Salt to taste
1 fresh lemon
DIRECTIONS:
Wash the omena in hot water for about 1 minute then drain the water completely making sure you remove any shells or stones.
NB Do not soak the omena for long as this will make your meal soggy. We want it to be crispy.
Pour some oil on your pan to fry the omena till golden brown then add some salt.
Add the chili and onions and fry a bit longer until the onions are slightly cooked.
Put in your tomatoes and tomato paste and let it cook for a few minutes. Turn off the gas and squeeze in your lemon juice.
Now at this point, I hope your taste buds have started tingling because the meal we are about to have is filling. Loosen all tight clothing and sit down to your plate of ugali, omena, and some greens.
